Jumping Spider (Salticidae)

Posted by
itchydogimages (Pu'er, China) on 24 September 2011 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

You can find many fearless little jumping spiders if you look hard enough in dense foliage. Their headlight eyes are amazing as is their ability to launch themselves into space in pursuit of prey, a better vantage point or to escape nuisances like me.

my absolute favourite spiders and models. You know, they have the best seeing capabilities of all spiders - and they way they stare back at you (or that giant lens eye) is amazing. lovely shot in beautiful colours!
